What is Wired?

How Does a Wired Connection Work?

  • A wired connection uses an Ethernet cable (Cat5 and Cat5e are the most commonly used) to transfer packets of data from one point to another
  • Ethernet cables look similar to phone cables, but are slightly wider and can handle much more information
